What is SWoW?
Starting WoW is a seasonal, weekly short form podcast designed to get YOU up and running as fast as possible in World of Warcraft. For FREE
Hiya SWoW fans. I have decided that at this pout we can’t expect any more episodes of Starting WoW. Sorry about that! The site will remain online and is still a huge resource for anybody getting into the game, but I just don’t have the time to put the huge amount of work that is required into the show any more.
Starting WoW will always be one of my favourite projects in the world, but all good things come to and end.
Continue following me and my exploits at View From The Quad, I hope to hear from you through that!
To the Light,
Cian, AKA Cianes on Anachronos EU
So I was doing me some thinking. Those of you subscribed to the newletter will already have gotten an email about this, by the way, so you can skip the short amount of text and head right down to the comments to leave your views.
As you may have noticed, I’m really busy this year. Next year shall be even MADDER! This is due to the joke of an Irish Educational System.
So how about this? For season 3, instead of a weekly episode, about about two or even three short episodes every week, each with either a single article or a few news stories? It would basically be taking the content of a normal in-season episode, and splitting it over the week.

Update Was just informed that I have Pneumonia Hurrah! This means that recording ain’t gonna happen for a while, but I can play at lot of WoW while out of school. Also, my advertisers are back! It was a mistake in communication, they had my name spelled wrong in their database. Long story short, they never meant to drop me from the campaign. Yay!
For the last week I have had a terrible cold. This has resulted in me missing a week of school, so I hope that you lot will understand if this weeks episode has to be called off.
Why not join the social network at social.startingwow.com and complain about how irregular SWoW has been in the past while? I don’t mind!
Hey there all interested SWoW listeners!
As I mentioned in the last episode of season 2, this week SWoW will be taking the week off. This is our FIRST week off in two entire seasons, that’s about abouts 33 weeks. Proud of us, are you?
Anyhoo, the reason that a week has been taken off is that I was playing in a concert on saturday night, and got home at about 1 AM. As a result of this, about 60% of my homework for school has not been done, and I am way too tired to actually record an episode.
So instead, I’m going to remind you to both listen to last week’s episode to get the directions for how YOU can win a copy of Wrath of the Lich King, and to vote in the ongoing poll about how SWoW affects your social life.
We will be back next week, with the first Holiday show for the Season 2-3 gap.
So, now that Wrath of the Lich King is looming, (November the 13th is release day) you will be wanting to pre-order the game.
So why not do it in a way that helps Starting WoW as well? At the bottom of this blog post, you will see a few pictures of the Wrath expansion under different country headings. Click the one which is (or closest to) your country, and you can preorder from the page.
Use this link to buy your copy, and you will get WotLK as close to the release date as you can as WELL as helping Starting WoW bring you great content for free every week!

This music video, machinimafied by an Irish 13 year old is amazing. Try to ignore the music and watch the genius at work. This girl is headed for great things.
As for season 2, planning is starting to go ahead. It will be starting the first sunday of September, and will have a new segmant or two. Season two will be much more based on fun, now that we are not all newbies. The CD of Season 1 is still slowly progressing through the pipes. That will be avalible for purchase rediciously cheap very soon, and will have not a single ad on it.
The promo is FINALLY available! Play it on your shows!
